What to expect

You are probably wondering, “What in the world is a holistic pet consultation?” At these visits we use neurological reflex and acupressure testing to identify areas of stress in your furry friend. We then create a program for them to begin the healing process. This can include natural supplementation, dietary changes, activities, etc. Initially our practice had a mission to help heal people but over time we quickly saw the need for natural medicine in the animal world! Unfortunately, it is far too common that when our pets get sick it results in antibiotics, surgery, and even worse no treatment at all, leading to suffering. Animals deserve to have access to holistic medicine as well and that is what we truly believe at our practice.
Our certified herbalist, Jenna Mongold, has a passion for helping animals in need. Her own 7-year-old cat was given a death sentence due to a severe lung condition. We performed testing on her cat, put her on supplements, and now she has a second chance at life! She is happier and healthier than ever and this is what inspired Jenna to further pursue the promotion of natural animal health.

MLS laser therapy

MLS laser therapy is one of the safest and most effective methods of treating inflammation and pain. The MLS laser is FDA approved and is a noninvasive and convenient treatment. It accelerates healing of tissues, reduces scar tissue, increases blood flow, and decreases inflammation. Light energy enters damaged cells and stimulates intercellular activity. This reduces pain in the area and speeds recovery of damaged cells. The light energy does the following: stimulates cells to remove toxins, allows oxygen and food into the cell, blocks pain signals in the brain and releases endorphins and encephalin (a natural pain killer), increases the production and cell growth bringing blood flow into the area, and jump starts healing by stimulating the mitochondria in the cells.
A single treatment takes less than 15 minutes and is completely painless and comfortable, creating a warm soothing feeling. Acute injuries heal much faster as laser therapy is applied close to the time of injury. It can also speed up healing following a surgery and reduce post op pain levels. The treatment protocol varies depending on what diagnosis is being treated.
